GMC Syclone

The Syclone was based on GMC's Sonoma truck, and while it didn't have a great deal of load space, it was exceptionally quick with a 4.9 second 0-60mph (0-95 km/h) time, which then was faster than a Ferrari 348 and even the mighty Corvette ZR-1. But it wasn't all straight4ine performance for the pick-up, because with its four-wheel drive system it was also incredibly good through the bends too. GMC kept the bias towards rear-wheel drive with a 35:65 front/rear torque split, adding ¦ limited-slip differential in the live rear axle to ensure maximum traction. They also gave the pick-up both lowered and uprated springs and shocks to further enhance the pick-up's sporting feel. The Syclone quickly built up a strong following In I he USA, and while as standard they could run the quarter-mile in 14 seconds, the current record for a road Syclone stands in the 10s.
